*Please note: Paired with individual practice, participating in this review course is excellent preparation for the exam; however, taking the course in no way guarantees an increase in score.
Expectations for Success
Participants must commit to the following to gain the best results from the ACT review sessions:
•Sign up to take the October or December ACT (register at www.act.org.)
•Be punctual and attend all sessions.
•Come prepared with all necessary materials.
•Have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
•Devote at least 30 minutes each day to practicing for the ACT.

The registration fee is $125.00 (includes practice materials and processing fee).
Before registering, please review the course schedule and your calendars carefully. **Registration fees are non-refundable. (Note: Should fewer than 10 students register and the series is cancelled, full refunds will be issued for students who have registered.) There are no make-up sessions, unless instructor cancels the class meeting due to weather, etc.
About the Instructors
Jerome Ward is a veteran educator with 24 years of teaching experience at both the secondary and post-secondary levels. He has taught AP English Literature 12, Pre-AP English 10, and ACT-prep; he also served as assistant principal. He continues to serve as an adjunct instructor at Calhoun Community College. He holds a BSED in English and history from Athens State University, a MAED in English from the University of North Alabama, and an EdD from the University of Alabama. Dr. Ward has been teaching ACT-prep courses and providing tutoring services for over a decade.
Donna Legg-Battles has been teaching math for many years, including everything from algebra to precalculus, but she particularly enjoys teaching geometry and ACT Prep. After graduating valedictorian of her high school class, she earned her Mathematics degree with highest honors from the University of Southern Mississippi. She holds a masters degree and an educational specialist degree in mathematics education from The University of Alabama in Birmingham. She currently teaches Advanced Geometry and ACT Prep (Math and Science) at Hartselle High School where she also serves as Math Department Chairperson, Mu Alpha Theta Advisor, and Assistance Softball Coach.
